quotes of the pious

Taqwa knowledge and beauty

It is reported that Abû Al-Dardâ – Allâh be pleased with him – said:
You will never be pious (a person of taqwâ) until you become knowledgeable, and you will never be beautiful with your knowledge until you act [by it].

Ibn Ábd Al-Barr, Jâmi’ Bayân Al-’Ilm wa Fadlihî article 1239.

CELEBRATING THE FESTIVALS OF THE KAAFIRS (shiek ul islam ibn qayiim al jawziyyah)

Similarly, as it is not permissible for them (the polytheist) to perform their rituals publicly, it is not permissible for the Muslims to support them in that or aid them or attend with them. This is agreed upon among the people of knowledge who are truly it's people and the scholars of fiqh from  followers of all the four imams are all clear about this in their books.

The shafi scholar of fiq, Abdul qasim at-tabari (known as al lalakaa'e) said :
"it is not permissible for themuslims to attend thier celebrations because they are upon falsehood and lies, and if the people of good mix with the people of falsehood without censuring them, it is as if they are pleased with it (their falsehood) and adore it.then we fear the wrath of Allah will descend on their gathering and afflict all of the (we seek refuge in Allah from this wrath)."

Then he followed with a naration of Amr bin Al Marrah who said explainig the ayah (pertaining to the characteristics of the people of paradise) :

{and those who do not witness falsehood.....} (25:72)

He said : "they don't support the people of ash-shirk (polytheism) upon their polytheism and they don't intermix with them"

the prophet (sallahuailiwassalam) said  (when he was travelling and came to the city of thamoud):

"DO NOT enter upon the dwellings of those who transgressed except that you do so crying, such that you be afflicted with afflicted them." (al bukharee-3000)
