Taqwa knowledge and beauty

It is reported that Abû Al-Dardâ – Allâh be pleased with him – said:
You will never be pious (a person of taqwâ) until you become knowledgeable, and you will never be beautiful with your knowledge until you act [by it].

Ibn Ábd Al-Barr, Jâmi’ Bayân Al-’Ilm wa Fadlihî article 1239.

Ummdathul Ahkaam

The Reliance of Rulings ( Shaykh Abdul Ghanee Al Maqdisee)
This is the basic primer in the field of Hadith covering areas of Ahkaam (rulings). It is a compilation of 422 of the most authentic Hadith that can be found in the books, Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih al-Muslim; the two most authentic sources in Islam after the Quran.
The book comprises 20 chapters, which have been arranged in a method conventionally used by Fuqaha (Muslim Jurists). This has been done in order to facilitate the extraction of juristic rulings directly from their authentic source for the ease of students of knowledge. The book covers common areas of Fiqh (jurisprudence) in chapters that deal with matters such as the five pillars of Islam, marriage, buying, oaths, clothing, food, and Jihad.
The text is as popular today as it ever ha been and is taught and memorised widely by those desiring a firm grounding in this field. Due to its continued importance there have been over 20 works dedicated to its explanation one of which extends over 11 volumes.
